Bramley Court Welcomes Cambridge United Scholars for Afternoon Tea

Bramley Court care home welcomed the local football team to the care home recently.

On Thursday 13 February, Bramley Court received a visit from the Cambridge United Scholars, who enjoyed afternoon tea with the residents and staff.
Visits from local groups and teams are always welcome and help many of the residents interact better, as they enjoy meeting and chatting to new people.

The home saw the generation gap melt away as the wonderful group of young men engaged with all of the residents. The ladies especially enjoyed having some “strapping young men” to chat to and Betty, one of the residents, challenged six of them to play scrabble. The men enjoyed some good conversation about football, sport and even Valentine’s Day.

Rachael Watts, Bramley Court Home Manager said:
”We are very grateful for the Cambridge United Scholars’ visit. The afternoon tea was really appreciated by both residents and staff, all of whom had a lovely time. Thanks particularly to Mark and Stuart for their enthusiasm in bringing the team to see us; the young men are a real credit to the Cambridge United team and image.”
