Teresa Paskalev, a Care Assistant from Cambridge, has won a Heart of Gold Award at a ceremony at Bramley Court Care Home in Histon today, Monday September 21st.

The Awards seek to recognise employees for their dedication and commitment in providing high quality care and compassion to all the home’s residents.

Rachael Watts, manager of Bramley Court said: “Those who have been nominated do not just do their jobs, they consistently demonstrate compassion and dedication to make our residents lives better each and every day.

“Teresa fully deserves this very special recognition. She always has a smile on her face and is ready to help residents and staff alike with anything.  She brings out the best in everyone”.

Teresa was presented with an etched glass plaque to commemorate her success and a Tiffany necklace by Alnur Dhanani, Chairman of Carebase, the company that owns Ashbrook Court Care Home.  Nominations for the award came from residents and their relatives, co-workers, social workers and local health professionals.

Teresa said: “It means so much to win the award and to be recognised for the work we do. I’d like to accept the award on behalf of all my colleagues as they all have massive hearts of gold.”
